David Liu is THE Salesforce.com Technical Architect for Google, and one of the most respected MVP’s in the Salesforce.com user community. AppMavericks is a program that David produces for the Salesforce.com blog, which highlights apps and best practices that he feels can benefit the community.
In his recent edition of AppMavericks, David addressed a problem that nearly every company he works with wants him to build a Salesforce app to solve – real-time coaching. The main app highlighted in his recent article was SAVO’s CRM Opportunity Pro. When it comes to looking at CRM integrated coaching tools, there were two interesting things that the Salesforce.com community should pay attention to (especially, heading into Dreamforce!):
- When describing what the SAVO’s real-time coaching app does, David references CRM Opportunity Pro as a “Killer Salesforce App.” CRM Opportunity Pro pushes relevant, situational, and dynamic sales resources directly to a rep in the context of their opportunities in Salesforce. Reps no longer have to search for supporting sales resources, they are immediately available to use at the moment that a rep updates an opportunity. Best of all, reps always have the most up-to-date and company approved resources – like, content, subject matter experts, sales coaching and more – all best suited for the opportunity.
- David also highlights that CRM Opportunity Pro is an out-of-the-box app that “You don’t have to write yourselves.” And he continues, “Every company I’ve ever worked for has asked me to code this,” he says in the beginning of the piece. SAVO has invested a ton of engineering and research from its global client base of enterprise companies with professional sales teams to publish an app that provides superior sales performance in a product that is easy to install and maintain. There are benefits to being part of this world-class clientele, and benefiting from the software strategy of this community (that’s routinely seen in the Salesforce.com user base). It’s software that you don’t have to write and support, continues to improve, and evolves in step with hardware, software, and even new releases of Salesforce.com (think Salesforce1).
